Former Camp Pendleton Marine Gary Stein, who was kicked out of the Corps for writing anti-Obama Facebook posts, says he is now suing the branch of the military in which he served for nine years.
Stein wrote on his Facebook page last night:
In case anyone was wondering my lawyers and I are moving forward with our Lawsuit against the Marine Corps... The lawsuit that I filed a month ago is what we are continuing... it was never closed... just the TRO (temporary restraining order) portion was. The judge will let us move the case forward.
Thursday was Stein's last day as a Marine. He was officially dismissed from the Marines on April 25th with an "Other than Honorable" discharge, after the Commanding General for MCRD San Diego announced his approval of a Marine administrative board's recommendation for discharge.
Stein wrote on his last day of work:
Today marks the last day of my almost 9 year Marine Corps career. I have had ups and downs, high and lows, but I would not change the fact hat I became a Marine. Although today was my last day in the Marine Corps, no one can take the title away from me. Now on to bigger and better things! Semper Fi.
