Last week, the political landscape of Iraq was dramatically changed by the execution of Saddam Hussein. Or was it? The hanging of the former Iraqi dictator held the rapped attention of the people of the country. But some say it will have little effect on the sectarian fighting that continues to torment Iraq.
Tony Perry is the San Diego bureau chief for the LA Times. And he’s embedded with Camp Pendleton marines in Iraq’s Sunni Triangle. He joins us today to talk about the execution of Saddam and other matters.
