Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (Columbia)
By Rachel Landrum
In the new film Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (opening October 3 throughout San Diego), Michael Cera plays Nick and Kat Dennings is Norah. A month after his big break up with Tris, Nick has to go and play a show with his friends and their band The JerkOffs. At the show he sees his ex Tris with her new boy toy. While debating whether or not he should go and talk to her, Nora -- in an act of desperation -- asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend for five minutes. This is the start of one crazy night filled with music, drunken antics, and one really gross piece of gum.
I found the movie very funny, cute and rather enjoyable. I really liked the friends how they care about Nick and want to help him get over Tris, his ex. It really captured the whole teen view of how we can sometimes get caught up in one thing or one person until they become all we see. As a teen I find we tend to do things in an all or nothing manner, with no real in between. The actors portraying the characters in this film did a really good job of showing this and how they went through a lot just to find where a band was playing and to have a good time.
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is rated PG-13 for mature thematic material including teen drinking, sexuality, language and crude behavior.

I think Rachel had a good review of the film. She told about the movie with out giving away the movie. After reading this reveiw I got very curious about what would go on through out the movie. The previews looked funny but now that I've read this review I have something to go buy with it being a good movie.

Well from seeing what teen critics said about the movie makes me want to go se it because i like films that make me laugh about the crazy things that we teens do now days, and how they relate to our daily lies such as being a teen going to a party seeing your ex-boyfriend or girlfriend at the same party with someone else and you wanna make them jealous by askin someone random around you to be your boyfriend or girlfriend for the night or time being and soon, but soon finding out that you wanna be with that person.Thats what maks this film so interesting because it makes us laugh about the stupid but cute things that we do in life.

Although I have not yet seen this film, I do plan on seeing it. I'm glad I read this review. It gives me a good picture of what to expect to see from this film. Reading what Rachel wrote about the plot of this film somewhat reminds me of a foreign film I've seen. It also involves the same situation where a boy tries to get over a former love and a girl tries to make her ex-boyfriend jealous. They end up using each other to get their former lovers back and they end up falling in love. I can't wait to see this film.

This movie seems like another dumb teen movie. It's something that i'd probably watch with my friends on a friday night. Typical plot, typical ending, typical scenario. Not something i'd wanna watch more than once though.

I thouht this review was a little short on information and a bit comlicated at times. i had to read "At the show he sees his ex Tris with her new boy toy" a few times before i understood it. I'm looking foward to seeing this movie and if Michael Cera can play a more different character.

When i saw the previews to this moives it looked really interesting and funny, but after reading the review it doesnt seem as funny as i would have expected. Possibly because of the lack of details. I guess i'll just have to see with my own eyes.

Rachel. I liked how you didn't make this movie seem like one of the usually teen movies, where a boy meets a girl and such. From your review it makes me want to go watch the movie and I probably will. Anyways, about how it captures the whole view of teenagers. By your explantion of the movie, I agree with your statement. And i think we need more movies like this to show teenagers how much time we spend on worry about what our ex's or doing, and we should just have fun.

In response to Michelle's post. Now and days all the movies are just a typical re-make of another movie. The drama, the ending, and the purpose are mostly all the same. But its the other things that make the movie seem interesting. The dialog and the things they do.

i think the review on this movie was good. like someone said it was enough information to make out what the movie is going to be out but not to much to where it gave the movie away. i just seen this movie last night and i think it was a good movie all around but i was kind of disappointed because it wanst as funny as i thought it was going to be. But that has nothing to do with it not being a good movie,m because it was. this movie did bring out the teenage life and what happens to someone who falls for another and in the end they realize they were wasting their time and got something better. i do recommand seeing this movie and it had a very interesting piece of gum that stays through out most of the movie! :)

response to michelle post now days all movies have to teens and their problems but they all don't end the same and they all have different points to it
