Suspects In Balderrama Park Shooting To Be Arraigned Wednesday

Two young men who were already in jail on unrelated charges when they were re-arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 15-year-old girl at Balderrama Park in Oceanside will be arraigned Wednesday, authorities said Tuesday.

Daniel Ramos and Elias Ramos, 20-year-old Oceanside residents who are not related, face charges of murder, attempted murder and participating in a gang felony in the death of Annabelle Flores at the park in the early morning hours of Sept. 3, according to Oceanside police.

Police did not immediately disclose what evidence allegedly implicated the suspects.

The victim was found on a playground structure suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She died before she could be taken to a hospital.

Police previously said it appeared the teen was targeted and the shooting was not believed to have been random.
