Democratic gubernatorial candidate and state Treasurer John Chiang will continue to make his pitch to voters this weekend as Democrats gather in San Diego for their annual statewide convention.
Chiang, who has previously served as state controller and on the Board of Equalization, is trailing in third place behind Democratic competitors Antonio Villaraigosa and Gavin Newsom, according to a recent survey by the Public Policy Institute of California.
If elected, Chiang has said his priorities will be housing, education, health care, jobs and fighting climate change.
He joins Midday Edition Thursday for a wide-ranging interview about where he stands on the critical issues facing California.
