Good Neighbor Environmental Board Meeting In San Diego
The Good Neighbor Environmental Board, a federal advisory committee, held its public meeting in San Diego last week to collect input on how to limit and respond to the effects of climate change in the border region.
The board is tasked with providing good neighbor policy advice to the President and Congress with respect to the U.S border with Mexico. It's required to file an annual report with recommendations.
The meeting was open to the public. Representatives from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, San Diego State University, the San Diego Foundation, El Colegio de la Frontera Norte, and the General Manager of the Border Environment Cooperation Commission also attended.
