Crew members of the USS Ronald Reagan are now able to read aloud to their children, nieces and nephews - even though they're deployed thousands of miles away from home. That's because the USS Ronald Reagan is now involved with United Through Reading, according to a news release from the U.S. Navy. The Navy says about 500 Sailors and Marines have taken part in the program since it started on June 24.
United Through Reading is a non-profit group that partners with the USO to allow servicemembers the opportunity to read to their young loved ones even when stationed overseas:
