A new study is underway at Camp Pendleton and other Marine bases in an effort to prevent Marines from getting seasick on amphibious assault vehicles, according to the Marine Corps Times. The Pendleton-based Amphibious Vehicle Test Branch is helping out with the ongoing research, although the specifics of the study weren't shared with the MC Times.
The MC Times reports researchers working on the next generation of amphibious assault vehicles hope to make them easier on Marines' stomachs. Marine Corps spokesman Emanuel 'Manny' Pacheco says:
Members of the Camp Pendleton-based I Marine Expeditionary Force (and their stomachs) are participating in the study. The Marine Corps will present the results of the study to Congress when the research is completed.
