Retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, former top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, appeared on "The Daily Show" last night to promote his new memoir, "My Share of the Task."
McChrystal was forced to resign his post in 2010 after a controversial Rolling Stone article.
The retired general didn't discuss his resignation with host Jon Stewart. But did talk about the future of the United States military in Afghanistan, and his support for stronger gun control measures at home in the wake of the Newtown massacre.
