  • Downtown Skate, San Diego’s favorite outdoor roller rink, is making its return to the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina for a limited time, June 27 - July 9. Following its successful holiday debut, the rink will once again take over the scenic Marina Terrace. The 6,000-square-foot rink offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to skate beneath swaying palm trees with sweeping views of the sparkling San Diego Bay. Whether it’s a family day out, date night, or hanging with friends, Downtown Skate is just steps from Seaport Village, The Rady Shell, Petco Park, and the Gaslamp District, making it a must-visit summer experience. Adding a sweet touch, Downtown Skate is again partnering with beloved local ice cream shop Cali Cream to debut a limited-edition flavor, available exclusively during the pop-up. Guests can also enjoy refreshing drinks from the on-site snack stand, including Cutwater cocktails, and skate the night away to live DJ sets every Friday – Sunday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., and all day on July 4. With a front row seat to the Big Bay Boom, Downtown Skate is the ultimate destination in San Diego to watch the massive firework show on Independence Day. Their summer SPLASH weekends will also be in full swing: including the Smoke & Sizzle BBQ hut on the pool deck. Agave Bar & Grill, Marina Kitchen, and Bayside Lounge with Topgolf Swing Suites will also be open. Outside guests are welcome to visit for food and drink, though poolside seating is reserved for hotel guests with wristbands. Marriott Bonvoy on Facebook / Instagram
