Ales N’ Rails is back for its 10th year! Join SDMRM for our annual beer-tasting fundraiser celebrating local breweries, live music, and community fun in the heart of Balboa Park. The event takes place Saturday, December 13, with trains running during regular museum hours (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and again after hours (6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.) for a one-of-a-kind experience surrounded by San Diego’s railroading history. Wear your most festive (or hideous!) holiday sweater for a chance to win a prize, plus enjoy raffle drawings, food, and more throughout the night. This is a 21+ event. This year, we’re raising $10,000 to preserve our exhibits and support the model railroad clubs that bring our layouts to life.
