The San Diego Awesome '80s Run is the perfect opportunity for you to dress up in your favorite '80s gear since you won't be the only one dressed like a weirdo. All finishers receive a Totally Awesome '80s Finishers Medal & a Circa 1980s Style T-shirt, at this Rad 5K / 10K Run - Walk. Join the Team Challenge and Costume Contest for Gnarly Prizes and Way Cool Entertainment at the Embarcadero Park South. This is the perfect opportunity for you to dress up in your favorite '80s gear! Wacky costumes, neon shorts and leggings, wild colorful hairstyles, big glasses, headbands and scrunchies, stylish leotards, and many other ridiculous costumes will be worn on race day. You won't be the only one dressed like a weirdo. Awards '80s Themed Medals will be awarded to all finishers at the finish line. First Overall Male & Female in the 5K & 10K will receive top finisher trophies. You must be present to receive your award. Coolest Individual Costume, Best Group Costume, and Largest Team awards will be announced at the race. You must be present to receive your award. Finish Line Entertainment Stick around after the race! There will be plenty of reasons to take pictures so bring a camera. We’ll be spinning top party hits from the '80s, set up many props, photo ops, and fun characters to take pics with. But most of all, you'll want pics of everyone else's silly costumes. Exhibitors will showcase products in the vendor area. We will play a few games, toss out prizes, and bust moves on the dance floor.
