This is a collaborative exhibition featuring Alexander Rojas Salazar represented by San Diego Art Advisory exhibited at Sparks Gallery. Alejandro Rojas Salazar is a Texas-born multidisciplinary artist of Mexican heritage who works in various mediums, including painting, sculpture, and installation art. After graduating from Colorado College in 1995 with a BA in Sociology and Arts, Salazar continued to pursue his studies in art, with a particular focus on art in society and religion. He has since obtained master's degrees from both Boston College and Harvard University. Salazar's artistic journey has taken him across various mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, theatre, and dance. It was while living in Florence, Italy, that he discovered his calling in painting. Today, he's not only an accomplished artist but also an art dealer, running his own art space, SD Art Advisory. His work has been widely exhibited and collected, with multiple series to his name. Alongside his work as an artist, Salazar has long been involved in mentoring and representing other artists and has played a key role in showcasing the work of many emerging talents. At 50 years old, Salazar has reiterated his lifelong commitment to art, with plans to continue painting and supporting others in the artistic community. Salazar is best known for his large-scale abstract paintings, which are characterized by vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes. Salazar's work explores themes of identity, memory, and the human experience, often drawing on his Mexican-American heritage and personal experiences. RVSP here.
