  • Shelter to Soldier, a nonprofit organization that adopts dogs from local shelters and trains them to become service dogs for post 9/11 veterans suffering from PTSD, TBI, Military Sexual Trauma, and or other injuries associated with traumatic service experiences, is pleased to announce their second annual ‘Sisterhood of Service’ event for women veterans and women in active-duty military. Presented by The Boeing Company and co-hosted by Foundation for Women Warriors, this event is a celebration of women veterans and women in active-duty military, honoring their dedication to our country. This event will be held on May 16 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the beautiful Mission Beach Women’s Club on Mission Bay. Attendees will enjoy an all-levels yoga flow along the bay lead by Veterans Yoga Project, followed by refreshments, resources for women veterans, a luncheon with inspirational guest speaker, goal-setting workshop, and swag bags for each guest. Guests will have the option to continue the fun after the event with a complimentary kayak or SUP rental on Mission Bay.
