  • Imagination and a love of writing is all you need for this one-week fiction intensive class with award-winning short story writer Luke Dani Blue. Starting from a blank page, this camp will lead you from the beginning to end of a brand-new story of your own creation! Working with your fellow bootcampers, you’ll master essential tools of the writer’s craft, from strong first sentences and vivid description, to how to slow down and speed up time in fiction and write dialogue that sounds like how people talk (but better). You’ll also learn how to give great feedback and find out how writing sprints and writing buddies can keep you going when you’re blocked. At the end of the week, leave camp with a complete short story, a packet of prompts, and a ton of inspiration for what to write next. The Teen Story-Writing Bootcamp will take place virtually through Zoom, every day from Monday, July 12 to Friday, July 16 at 1 p.m. Register here!
