  • A Path of Possibilities of Support, Resources, and Education To Be Provided at the Annual Walk The Parkinson’s Association of San Diego (PASD) welcomes the community to the 22nd Annual Step by Step 5K Walk on Saturday, April 6 at Liberty Station, 2640 Cushing Road, San Diego, CA 92016. The Walk will begin at 9 a.m., with check-in starting at 7:30 a.m. Participating in the event supports a vital cause and enables PASD to provide a Path of Possibilities for thousands of San Diego County residents who have or are impacted by Parkinson’s disease with critical support, resources, and education during and after the Walk. This year’s Walk will provide a path of support, connections with more than 1200 individuals in the Parkinson’s community and access to an extensive range of health resources provided by more than 60 exhibitors. Additionally, dogs are welcome to join in the day’s activities. Participants can join and support the Walk in various ways, including · Walking individually or with family · Joining or forming a team · Visiting the exhibitors without having to walk · Contributing to the Association (and could be made in Memory of or in Honor of a loved one). Registration is available online at www.parkinsonsassociation.org or by calling 858-215-2570. The donation is $50. Youths 12 to 17 are $10 and children under 12 are free. The donations are tax deductible under IRS guidelines and include a Walk Step-by-Step T-Shirt. Local nurse practitioner Sherrie Gould will emcee the event, promising a day of community spirit andsupport for those impacted by Parkinson’s disease. Sharp HealthCare joins as the title sponsor of the 2024 Walk, solidifying its dedication to the Parkinson's community and ensuring the event's continued success. Lisa Evans, PASD Walk chairperson, encourages the community to participate, stating, “Come to the Annual Walk to start on your path of support and learn about possibilities to help live your best life.
