We will have a 20-minute warmup, and then the models will take one long pose. Proportion and sighting will be emphasized, and students will have individual attention from the instructor. You may bring any material (drawing or painting) that you would like to use—excluding oil paints. Butcher paper and charcoal will be provided. The instructor will also bring a variety of drawing materials to try and to play with. We will take a break in the middle, so bring your lunch. A variety of teas, snacks, and water will be provided by the instructor. All skill levels are welcome! Materials: Two or more large sheets of charcoal or pastel paper and one kneaded eraser.   • The Hillcrest Community Ofrenda was envisioned by Rick Cervantes to expand upon the ofrenda he had built in his home for many years in honor of brother who was murdered in 2016. To make the ofrenda a project for the entire community to participate in, Rick decided to build the Hillcrest Community Ofrenda at the base of the Hillcrest Pride Flag starting in 2022 to provide a space for the entire Hillcrest and LGBTQ communities to honor their loved ones. The ofrenda will be built on Monday, Oct. 28 starting at 4 p.m., and will stay up 24 hours a day through 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31. Community volunteers will take shifts watching over the ofrenda day and night. Community members are welcome to stop by anytime to view the ofrenda or place mementos.

As you wander through this enchanting setting, you’ll find Santa waiting to spread holiday cheer and create lasting memories with families and little ones. Access to the Conservatory is included in general admission. Photos with Santa are $10 per group, up to six people, and include one printed photo with a digital copy. Additional prints are available for $5 each. No online registration is required, simply stop by and join in the holiday fun!
