  • The 24th year of this fantastic event features 53 great films from 7 different popular arts genres including Action/Adventure, Animation, Comics-Oriented, Documentary (Popular Arts-Oriented), Horror/Suspense, Humor, and Science Fiction/Fantasy. We have participating filmmakers from all over the world, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The schedule also includes the return of the popular ongoing panel series Comic-Con Film School, a daily series of how-to panels on filmmaking, plus additional film-related panels on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On Sunday, the CCI-IFF Awards will be presented, followed by screenings of the award-winning films. This year’s judges are visual development supervisor at Marvel Studios Ian Joyner, senior illustrator, storyboard artist, and visual development artist Jasmine Alexia Jackson, and legendary actor Keone Young. The CCI-IFF takes place in the Marriott Marquis and Marina Hotel, next door to the Hall A side of the convention center.   • The Comic-Con Art Show, Located at the Manchester Hyatt, in Grand Hall CD is open to the public—you do not need a badge to come in and enjoy or purchase artwork. However, everyone entering the Art Show is expected to comply with all terms and conditions expected of our attendees. You’ll see numerous original drawings, paintings, sculptures, pieces of jewelry, and more “unusual” items, all created and displayed by professional and amateur artists. In 2024, more than 900 items were sold by the 116 artists exhibiting in the Comic-Con Art Show, and 20% of those art show sales were to the un-badged general public! If you want to add something to your collection, many of the pieces are offered for purchase by Silent Auction* or Quick Sale. Bidder numbers and Art Show information can be obtained from the administration table inside the Art Show. You must be 18 or older and have legal identification to purchase artwork, and payments may be made with cash or a credit card. The Art Show also displays the nominated books and comics for this year’s Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards. Come and see the best new works of the year! For your convenience, the Art Show is open one hour after the Exhibit Hall closes on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday to make it easier to bid on or pick up your art.   • Join the SDHS for a glamorous afternoon of wine, appetizers, and a solo concert from the principal harpist of the LA Philharmonic, Emmanuel Ceysson, at a beautiful home in Elfin Forest. After the concert, meet the artist at a dessert reception. Ticket sales fund the San Diego Chapter of the American Harp Society's mission of empowering the next generation of harpists through cultivating musical experiences and bringing world-class artists to San Diego. This event in particular helps fund our high school senior, harp camp, and harp lesson scholarships. Student members attend for FREE with a paid adult. With his powerful, virtuoso playing, Emmanuel Ceysson sweeps away all the clichés associated with his instrument. His infectious enthusiasm and boundless energy reveals the harp in all its sparkling splendour, in a world where poetry rhymes with temperament. He was the GOLD Medallist at the 2004 USA international Harp Competition, First Prize at the New York Young Concert Artists Auditions in 2006, and First Prize at the 2009 ARD competition in Munich; thus securing a press acclaimed solo career, as RECITALIST in major concert venues like Carnegie Zankel Hall, Wigmore Hall, Salle Gaveau, Munich Gasteig, Wiener Konzerthaus, Hyogo concert hall, and as SOLOIST WITH ORCHESTRAS such as the Oslo Philharmonic, Bavarian Radio Orchestra, Deutsche Symphonie Orchester, RAI Orchestra Torino, Orchestre National de Lyon, PKF Prague Philharmonia.
