  • Encore Tuesdays, April 29 - June 3, 2025 at 7 p.m. on KPBS 2 / Stream Seasons 1 - 2 now with KPBS Passport! Season 2 will take viewers from the war-torn streets of Britain deep into Nazi Germany, the resistance within occupied France, and the brutal sands of the North African desert – where troops struggle to adapt to a very different kind of combat.
  • Gather with friends and family at The Seabird Resort in Oceanside for Easter festivities.   •  Join Ocean Beach MainStreet Association for a community clean-up focusing on the downtown Ocean Beach business district on April 22, 2023. Meet at Veterans Plaza Park at 10 a.m. Buckets, trash bags, and gloves will be provided. Bring a picker if you have one. They are always a handy tool to pick-up small debris. Hang out in Ocean Beach after the clean-up and enjoy select beers on tap at local breweries and discounts at Closet Signature. A portion of the select beer pint sales will support Ocean Beach MainStreet Association programs and projects which include the OB holiday decorations, street banners throughout the downtown district, and sidewalk beautification initiative to name a few.   • This course is designed for writers who are at the beginning or end stages of writing their children’s book. Writers will examine their main character, plot, and conflict while crafting their storytelling skills. Writers will also learn how to edit their work, identify the appropriate age group for which the book is written for, write a compelling premise, and understand the basics of word count, font, page layouts, and copyrights.   • The San Diego Automotive Museum will be hosting a garage sale, on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy beautiful Balboa Park and see gorgeous cars and exhibits at the San Diego Automotive Museum. Items for sale will include collectibles, home décor, toys, art, books, and more. Admission will be reduced to $5.00 with any Garage Sale purchase. All proceeds will benefit the San Diego Automotive Museum. Please park in the main lot then follow the signs to the back of the Museum. Cash only. The $5.00 admission will allow you to view many of the beautiful cars the Automotive Museum has to offer. The exhibit floor will have the Mercedes 540K, Louie Mattar’s Fabulous $75,000 Car and a 1963 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Saloon to name a few. A Delorean is also on display and perfect for photo opps. In the rotating exhibit section is Innovative Electrics.
