Set in a coastal town in tropical South India, the series tells the story of junior doctor,, Ruby Walker, who arrives in India looking for a job and a distraction from her heartbreak. She anticipates the sunshine, the palm trees and picture-perfect beaches. What she doesn't expect are the realities of work, life and even love at an under-resourced and over-worked cottage hospital.
  • Mission Valley open-air shopping center invites area children and their families to eat breakfast with Santa Claus on Saturday, December 2, in the AMC Theatres Court (HUB/Community Room). During this special event, there will be delicious food from Panera and a hot chocolate bar (while supplies last). The puppet of Little Amal was designed and built by Handspring Puppet Company. Everywhere Amal goes she is greeted with events that are authentic and meaningful to the local people she meets. This could be a parade through a city centre, playground games with children at schools, a visit to a place of worship, an outdoor theatre or dance performance, a musical concert, a whole-city art installation, intimate encounters with children and families or ceremonies of welcome led by city mayors or other senior civic officials.
