Von Huben are bringing together a hilarious line-up of comics including: Host Jason Rogers, Josh Nasar, Steven Briggs, Kristi McHugh, Dave Ppl and San Diego’s own, Louie Centanni. It's going to be a fun night of comedy for a cause in support of Amazing Strays Rescue. Amazing Strays Rescue is dedicated to rescuing homeless or at-risk animals (domestic violence and military on deployment,), focusing on creating safe environments for the forgotten or neglected, by finding homes for the rehabilitated and healthy, and aiding in the efforts to combat overpopulation and the spread of disease.   • The unique objects displayed at the niche of Mingei International Museum reflect the creative expressions of seven international female artists selected by Persian Place, from Feb. 1, 2024 to May 31, 2024. Seven international female artists were invited to create work inspired by the Shahnameh, a 10th and 11th-century epic poem by Persian poet Abul Qasem Ferdowsi. The Shahnameh narrates the heroic tales of Persian kings and also acknowledges the pivotal role of Iranian women as influential nurturers and warriors in their communities. The showcased artists include Shirin Aghdaie, Sasha Furlan, Melissa Meier, Yasaman Mostajeran, Marty Ornish, Sara Soleimani Qashqai, and Soroor Sharifi.
