The SummerFest Synergy Initiative, co-produced by Clara Wu Tsai and Inon Barnatan, brings together leaders from music, dance, spoken word, and visual arts to create performances that inspire audiences in unexpected and powerful ways.
The creatives behind this summer’s reimagination of "Carnival of the Animals" come together to discuss the project’s development.
Encounters are free afternoon events, featuring intriguing lectures, discussions, performances, and diverse perspectives. Encounters reveal fascinating insights into the ways in which music is created, influenced, interpreted, and performed.

The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center
The Baker-Baum Concert Hall is an intimate performance space with superb acoustics ideally suited for chamber music and classical recitals. In addition, its design incorporates state-of-the-art technology and adjustable acoustics, making it a world class space for amplified concerts, film, dance, theatre, lectures, and more. A wooden grillage frames the elegant curvature to the seating area creating a shape reminiscent of a European opera house. Outside this framework, lighting washes the walls in color to create a sense of space beyond.
