  • American Me Comedy Tour presents a special One-Nite Comedy Benefit for local Nonprofit Shelter to Soldier. Stand-Up in support, November 8, at the historic La Jolla Comedy Store. Produced by Jason Rogers and Stefani Von Huben. Jason Rogers and Stefani N. Von Huben are bringing together a hilarious line-up of comics including: Host Jason Rogers, Topp Fliight, San Diego local favorite: James P. Connolly, Ben Smith, Madison Bakich and Sam Swank. It's going to be a fun night of comedy for a cause as we Stand-Up in support of Shelter to Soldier. Proceeds from tickets sales will be donated to Shelter To Soldier: a San Diego 501c3 nonprofit organization that adopts dogs from local shelters and trains them to become psychiatric service dogs for post-9/11 veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Military Sexual Trauma (MST). The program also places emotional support animals (ESAs) with active duty military and veterans, and deploys the Shelter to Soldier Canine Ambassadors, a team of certified therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers, to provide no-cost visits of love and comfort to local military, veterans and their families. For the exhibition Mark has been hiking the Sweetwater Valley area in South Bay San Diego documenting the area utilizing aerial drone photography creating 360 degree panoramic views. He has been working with the collection of the Bonita Historical Society to include information about local historic homes, including the 1908 Irving J. Gill and Frank Mead "Allen House," the “Otay Limited” National City & Otay railway, as well as early pioneer maps and historical objects inviting the public to discover the evolution of the local landscape of natural geography juxtaposed with architectural and commercial development.

With conscious intention, our choice to encourage change reflects our desire to provide our students and audiences with a new experience. By crafting our own narrative, we’ve created a unified opportunity for dancers of all ages and genres to share in this inspiring story. All of our students are encouraged to be thinkers, to develop a powerful sense of self and this production creates a unique freedom to grow alongside the production rather than fit into it. With a courageous message, gorgeous dancing, and a beautiful score, "Mixed Nuts" is an engaging, must-see show for your whole family and friends.
