  • The first ARTIST OPEN HOUSE will be held at the Brooks Theater Gallery on Saturday, November 5 from 6 to 7:30 pm to introduce a new exhibition highlighting the work of fourteen artists and their visual interpretations of ROMANCE, creating an intriguing partnership between the Gallery and the Oceanside Theatre Company youth production of Beauty and the Beast, Jr. A free event open to artists, families, art lovers and supporters, as well as the general public, the Artist Open House will feature live music, an artist working in the Gallery on their current art piece, refreshments, and a concessions bar open for purchasing beer and wine.

  • The 75th Emmy Awards have been rescheduled to broadcast on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024 — Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It's television's most prestigious awards show, but ratings have been dropping steadily.
  • From the organizers: Bread & Salt and curator/artist Jason Sherry come together to present an experimental Halloween art experience of multiple installations for one night only on Saturday, October 29 from 5 PM - 10 PM. This group show of over 16 artists will feature light, sound, and sculptural installations which run the gamut of Halloween lore. Scenes and performances will take audiences from the horrifying to the campy. Each experience will be set together in the old brick room of the Bread and Salt galleries and laid out in a haunted house-styled maze. From nightmares of the natural world to a death disco surround sound experience – this project will evolve throughout the night and offer audiences a taste of fear and satire as told by the experimental artist community of San Diego. Cost is free but donations are accepted.
