  • This monumental work by Henry Purcell is a classic tale of love, loss, betrayal, revenge, duty and above all, fate. This new, fully staged production marries the ancient, the baroque and the present day, inviting audiences to relive this opera through 21st century eyes & ears. Featuring Victoria Mature (Dido), Evan White (Aeneas), and Brendan Nguyen (Conductor), with chamber orchestra presented in Bario Logan's fantastic arts space Bread & Salt. Profits from this production will be donated to Summit for Stem Cell Foundation.

  • This free public event is an all day celebration of indigenous cultures, a Gathering of Nations, features craftspeople, storytellers and presentations of dance and music. The celebration includes food vendors as well as arts and crafts activities. The event takes place on land near ancient Kumeyaay village sites and allows for education about current Kumeyaay events in the region and at the Kumeyaay College. This public event is free and held both outside at the Greg Cox Civic Complex in Bonita as well as inside the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center and inside the community room at the Bonita-Sunnyside Library. The celebration will also introduce exhibition "Old World/New World" by artist Roberto Salas. Salas has worked with native voices and storytellers from around the world. He is inviting them to the event for a memorable gathering. Honored guests include local Kumeyaay educators.
