  • The Falling Doves return to Humphreys Backstage Live for a night of rock 'n' roll The Falling Doves, once a San Diego-based rock band, are returning to Humphreys Backstage Live for their 2023 residency. The band has been performing at the venue for years, and it has become their home between tours. The Falling Doves have been performing together since 2015, Their sound is a mix of classic rock, punk, and alternative, and their live shows are always high-energy and full of surprises. "It's so hard to find a good venue that can accommodate our production and audio specs," said lead singer and guitarist, Christopher Leyva. "We love to add a great production value in an intimate setting, great food and drinks easy parking, We get to try out new material and it's a great chance to catch up with friends and fans between sets." The band is excited to be back at Humphreys Backstage Live, The band will be playing a three hour set with a mix of their classic hits, favorite covers surprise guests and new material. The band is sure to put on an unforgettable show. The residency will kick off on April 27, and will end October 8.   • UHCDC has hosted the annual Summer Concerts at Trolley Barn Park for 24 years. Concerts are held every Friday in July and the first Friday in August from 6-8 p.m. Each week features a different local band. Bring a picnic or visit one of the great University Heights restaurants and enjoy free entertainment with your neighbors. Trolley Barn Park is located on the North side of Adams Avenue in the University Heights area. It begins at Alabama Street and ends before Park.
