  • Join the San Diego State community for the 5th Annual Aztecs for Life Blood Drive! The blood drive will be held 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Viejas Arena. SDSU is teaming up with the American Red Cross, which is facing an emergency blood shortage. The American Red Cross urgently needs blood donors to give now to avoid delays in lifesaving medical care for patients. To make an appointment to donate, visit the American Red Cross Blood Drive website and use the code: Aztecs. Each Red Cross blood drive and donation center follows the highest standards of safety and infection control. Additional precautions – including face masks for donors and staff, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status – have been implemented to help protect the health of all those in attendance. Donors are asked to schedule an appointment prior to arriving at Viejas Arena. As a thank-you, all blood donors will receive a free T-shirt, a $10 Amazon.com Gift Card by email, a Raising Cane’s free meal gift card, AND coupons from Woodstock's Pizza and Eureka!, along with other giveaways while supplies last. The paintings depict both traditional and contemporary subjects. Various brush painting styles (detailed and spontaneous) will be on exhibit - highlighting the diversity and breadth of techniques used by modern brush artists.
