Chinese Brush Painting Society Exhibit and Sale At Gallery 21, Spanish Village, Balboa Park Oct. 5 - 18, 2021 Gallery Hours: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Daily Open House: Saturday, October 9 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Members of the Chinese Brush Painting Society (CBPS) of San Diego are extremely excited to exhibit their original artworks at this year's show. The paintings are created using practiced brush strokes and traditional tools of this ancient art form (rice paper, ink, colors, and animal hair brushes). The paintings depict both traditional and contemporary subjects. Various brush painting styles (detailed and spontaneous) will be on exhibit - highlighting the diversity and breadth of techniques used by modern brush artists. Our artists range from students to accomplished painters and calligraphers, many who have studied with masters in China. All artwork will be for sale, including unframed matted paintings, cards, and other small gifts. We look forward to seeing you at this year's show!
