Enjoy a Sunday evening sipping on your favorite wine and learning how to recreate “The Guitar”, a vibrant acoustic guitar adorned with spring flowers. Local artists will guide you step by step and inspire you and your friends to tap into your creative side! Solterra is a local gem with amazing food and prize-winning wine. Their kitchen offers tapas, flatbreads, burgers, charcuterie boards, and more!! Learn to needle felt! Saturday, April 12, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Have you ever wished you’d stumble upon a tiny fairy house while walking in a deep forest? Join felting artist Sophie Ancel in this 3-hour workshop where you’ll learn to make your own little house using needle felting techniques. Students will use natural wool roving and batting, felt, beads and simple embroidery. The class requires the use of sharp felting needles and we will cover how to safely use felting needles. Guards will also be provided. Each student will have the option of creating a tiny home equipped with a door, window, and decorated with flowers and leaves. This little home can be used as a box as the roof can act as a lid! You will be given a tiny light for added fairy house magic. No experience necessary. Ages 12+ welcome. Upcycle Your Own Item! Learn to Carve & Block Print! Choose from: Sat, January 9, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. -OR- Sat, February 6, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Have you ever wanted to print your own designs on shirts and bags?! In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn the art of relief printing! Students will learn to design and carve their own linoleum stamp and block print an image onto fabric. We invite you to upcycle fabric from your own wardrobe or home for this class, so grab a well-loved favorite item or something that could use a fun refresh and begin imagining some fun designs you might carve and print! Because this class focuses on upcycling, please bring your own fabric to block print on. This can be clothing, a tote bag or something else. You may bring more than one item and the instructor can help you choose which to print on in class. We recommend you avoid fabrics that are especially thin, like satins and silks. All other tools and materials needed for this class will be supplied for use.
