  • The Skylarks, a quartet singing pop hits from the Girl Group era of the 50s through the 70s, will perform an intimate concert on Saturday, March 23 at 7 p.m. at Point Loma Assembly Hall. The Skylarks were founded by Julie Chan in 2018. “I had always wanted to form a group to perform iconic girl group songs,” said Chan. “We have a great set list that includes hits from the Ronettes, the Chiffons, the Chordettes—and even some Beach Boys and the Mammas and the Pappas thrown in.” The Skylarks members are altos Susan Elden and Vicki Moore, and sopranos Julie Chan and Kerri De Rosier. The Skylarks have been performing for private groups and events around town, and are excited to bring their unique show to the public at the Point Loma Assembly. Skylarks Live at the Assembly will feature music through the decades, with fifties hits such as Why do Fools Fall in Love by Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers and Lollipop by the Chordettes; sixties hits like My Boyfriend’s Back by The Angels and Leader of the Pack by The Shangri-Las; and hits from as early as the forties and as late as the eighties. “We have something for everyone,” said Chan. “It will be a fun night for all.” Stay Connected on Social Media! • Sex. It is a driving force behind many of our relationships and paramount to our sense of self. It plays a huge role in our lives and society - influencing politics and laws, religious practices, healthcare, economics and more.So it is no wonder that sex is a big topic of both loud and hushed conversations. Here at "Everybody's Doing It," we make the listener a fly on the wall for ordinary banter about sex and sexuality to highlight important topics using the lens of real people's lives.
