Some of San Diego’s most notable citizens are interred at Mount Hope Cemetery including Ah Quin, known as the unofficial mayor of San Diego’s China Town, Horticulturist Kate Sessions, Nathan Harrison, the first African American homesteader in the San Diego area, Kate Morgan, whose ghost purportedly haunts the Hotel Del Coronado, and the “Father of San Diego” Alonzo Horton. History Talks! is a monthly lecture series presented by the Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House.
