  • The California Police Athletic Federation (CPAF), a non-profit organization committed to promoting sport and physical fitness among fire responders, is thrilled to announce the 57th Annual US Police & Fire Championships taking place Saturday, June 8 to Saturday, June 15, 2024. Happening at more than 25 venues across San Diego County, the games will feature more than 35 different sports including bench press, dodgeball, air pistol, pickleball, rowing, baseball, bowling, golf, tennis, CrossFit®, and more. The US Police & Fire Championships are an Olympic-style competition for first responders and public safety personnel across the United States. The annual games draw thousands of athletes from law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, custom and correctional officers, and more. For 2024, CPAF is thrilled to debut a new competition: Ultimate Firefighter which is comprised of 4 consecutive stages including a Hose Task, Weight and Strength, Obstacle Course and High Rise. The community is invited to come out and watch any of the sporting events taking place throughout the games for free and cheer on the competing athletes.
