This journey, much like the artistic process, is a transformative one where each step reveals new perspectives and insights. The exhibition offers a space where plein air artists share their unique interpretations of the world around them. Each painting is the artist's experience, inviting viewers to pause and reflect. Fans during each of the shows will be invited to launch their song requests to the stage via paper airplanes. Widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation, the Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter-composer has created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. For the past three decades, he’s toured as a pop artist, while also performing with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras. A New York Times Best Selling author and podcast host, Ben also composes for film, tv and theatre, guest stars in films and TV, and serves as the Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. A longtime advocate for arts and music education funding, Ben launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled “Keys For Kids,” which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that provide free or affordable music lessons to interested school-age children. Moench, part of the writing room for Apple TV+'s "Severance," has a knack for writing powerful and relatable character-driven plays like the recent Moxie Theatre production of "Birds of North America." "Your Local Theater Presents: A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, Again" is a laugh-out-loud funny and heartfelt story for theatre lovers and holiday enthusiasts alike. Eddie is a young actor, fresh out of Juilliard and ready to make his mark on the American Theatre. His dreams are within reach… sort of. First he’s just going to do this regional production of "A Christmas Carol." As the years pass, Eddie finds himself back at the same local theatre, over and over and over again. Much remains the same: the play, the stage manager, the green room — though Eddie finds himself in different costumes as he ages through the male roles over the course of his career. Anna Ouyang Moench’s comedic and moving new play is a love letter to actors, artists and dreamers of all professions who make sacrifices large and small in service of their work… and ultimately wonder whether it was worth it.
