The tour marks the 50th anniversary of the legendary Genesis album Foxtrot which, in 1972, was pivotal in establishing the band as a major force in British rock. Guitarist Steve Hackett joined Genesis in 1971, making his band debut on the Nursery Cryme album which enjoyed a greater commercial success in Europe than the UK. After extensive touring, the band were encouraged, by audience reactions, to further experiment with ever longer compositions and develop their ability to incorporate strong narratives. This, in turn, allowed frontman Peter Gabriel more opportunity to indulge in the theatrics which helped to raise the band’s profile. Now, for 2023, Steve brings Foxtrot at Fifty to North America for a string of eagerly awaited dates following the huge selling UK 2022 tour. “I think Foxtrot was a terrific achievement for Genesis at that time,” says Steve Hackett. “I think there is not one weak track on the album, they all have their strong points and I’m really looking forward to doing the whole album live.” Connect with Steve Hackett on Social Media! Iliza Shlesinger is an award-winning comedian, actor, writer, producer and author, selling out theaters around the globe with a devoted fan base who are known for creating their own Iliza-inspired swag to wear to her shows. Iliza coined the term "Elder Millennial" in her eponymous 2018’s "Elder Millennial", which is also the subject of "Iliza Shlesinger: Over & Over", her “fan-u-mentary” giving fans an inside look into her life on tour. Her other specials are "Unveiled" (2019), "Confirmed Kills" (2016), "Freezing Hot" (2015) and "War Paint" (2013). In 2022, Netflix released her 6th stand-up special "Hot Forever" and her second book "All Things Aside" was published. Her podcast, "AIA: Ask Iliza Anything on Earwolf" is a fan favorite and features Iliza giving out her barefaced life advice to fans' questions. Next, she’ll launch Iliza’s Locals a three-episode series highlighting 18 of her favorite L.A. comedians. The series will stream exclusively on the 800 Pound Gorilla platform April 4 before moving over to YouTube April 28. Iliza wrote and starred in the Netflix Rom-Con movie "Good On Paper" and played opposite Mark Wahlberg in the #1 Netflix film "Spenser Confidential". Marisa DeLuca (She/Her) is a post-contemporary artist working in painting, drawing, and photography. Her practice examines intersections between time, memory, impermanence, and critical theory. She received her BA in Visual Arts (Studio) from UCSD in 2021 and is currently pursuing her MFA at San Diego State University's School of Art + Design. Sourcing original photographs from the Oceanside Historical Society's archives and incorporating materials from dismantled antique homes Marisa will continue to investigate the origins of cycles of disappearance and remnant from a new angle - anchored in the city she loves. Marisa continues her creative research into memory and forgetting, permanence and catastrophic change in this limited series, transubstantiating the charred remains of the home located at 610 Minnesota Avenue into reliquary paintings.
