Members work in a variety of styles, use different clays and shapes. They have a wealth of artistic choices to accomplish clay work of high craftsmanship and beauty. About: The guild is a juried membership of more than 40 potters from San Diego, California. We are located in Balboa Park's historic Spanish Village, at Studio 29, where members make and sell their creations directly to the public. The gallery features a large and varied display of work from all our members and is refreshed periodically. The studio offers also a working space for our members. Every day, one of the guild members can be found working at the wheel, handbuilding, or preparing for a firing.   • This week of Summer Camp is all about learning to weave! Does your child have an interest in fiber arts and learning to weave? This ancient craft connects all ages with its range of options, from simple to complex. In this week-long camp, kids will explore the art & craft of weaving on a variety of looms. Using the principles of STEAM while honing fine motor skills and problem-solving, kids & teens will: -Learn about different fiber properties -Make and use a variety of looms to weave on -Design patterns and explore color palettes -Explore their own styles -And actively do math with hands-on creative weaving! This camp is recommended for kids and teens, ages 8-16 years. OPTIONAL | Lunch Hour Supervision If there is a camp ending as ours begins and you need your child or teen transferred, let us know! If you’d like your child or teen to stay during the lunch hour, there’s a $25 fee for the week to cover the lunchtime gap. They can bring a lunch and have lunch with us with the option to craft after lunch, or head out to grab a lunch and head back to the studio to eat in a safe, welcoming space.
