The first hour will be spent introducing the prompt followed by a sustained ‘free-write’ period. During the second hour, writers will be invited to share their writing with the group. Tuesday, January 10: Openings. This in-person class will look at what makes an effective opening. Writers will be encouraged to re-work old openings or to invent new ones! Tuesday, March 14: Creating Conflict: This in-person class will explore effective writing that deals with conflict.
