Get ready to unleash your creativity this Halloween with a festive Paint and Sip event at Local Roots Kombucha in Vista! We’ll be painting “La Catrina,” the iconic Latin beauty of the dead, surrounded by the vibrant colors and rich culture of Día de los Muertos. Whether you’re an experienced artist or picking up a brush for the first time, this event is perfect for all skill levels! All supplies are provided for this event. Local Instructors will guide you as you paint on a 12×16 canvas for a 2.5-hour paint party. Canvases will be lightly pre-traced for ease. We can’t wait to celebrate Halloween with you colorfully and creatively! Local Roots Kombucha & Pizza brings a unique vibe to North County with their better and bold-flavored hard kombucha. Local Roots offers a selection of locally crafted brews on tap and wine by the glass. Don’t forget to check out their food menu as well!! They are a family-friendly tap house with plenty of room for pets as well!! We will hold events inside during the summer and inside during the winter. Plenty of parking is available as well! Things to know: We require a 48-hour notice for cancellations/rescheduling. Refunds must be requested within 3 days of purchase. After 3 days a credit will be given. Check-in begins 15 minutes before the event start time. Give yourself time to park to avoid arriving late. No outside food or drink is allowed. They are available for purchase.   • This week of Summer Camp is all about cooking with farm-to-table ingredients and a fun mix of garden & kitchen-related crafting! Is your child curious about where their food comes from? Does your child love to make crafts? This summer, open their world to exploring the bounty of local, colorful ingredients and how those foods got from the ground to our plates with local culinary arts instructors from Sticky Fingers Cooking. Did your child know that carrots can improve your eyesight, and cherries can help improve your memory? Young chefs will also learn what makes certain ingredients super healthy for the body and how delicious they can taste, while practicing basic cooking skills and techniques on their way to becoming super chefs! When kids aren’t in the kitchen, they’ll be learning to craft using fun, traditional materials with San Diego Craft Collective instructors with a variety of projects! Preschool age children, 4-6 years old, are invited to join in the fun in the mornings from 9 a.m. – Noon School-age children, 7-12 years old, will cook and craft in the afternoons, from 1p.m. – 4 p.m. OPTIONAL | Lunch Hour Supervision If there is a camp ending as ours begins and you need your child transferred, let us know! And, if you’d like your camper to stay during the lunch hour, there’s a $25 fee for the week to cover the lunchtime gap. They can bring a lunch and have lunch with us with the option to craft after lunch.
