  • ARCHITECTURE SERIES | Balsa Wood Bridge Do you know what a truss is? A truss is a series of connected triangles that transfer stresses at connected nodes. This STEAM powered class explores structural load concepts. Participants will gain an understanding of compressive and tensile forces related to truss design through woodcraft. Open for ages 12 – 18. We will build truss bridges out of balsa wood from hand drawn designs created by each participant. There will be the option to destructively test the bridge’s design upon completion.
