The San Diego Independent Scholars (SDIS) is proud to present a Works in Progress event led by Grace Johnson on March 21st at 1 p.m. at the North University Community Library. Grace Johnson is a Curator Emerita of Latin American Collections at the San Diego Museum of Man (now named Museum of Us). Johnson graduated with a BA in the Department of Anthropology and a MA in the Department of Latin American Studies from San Diego State University. She wrote the book Hecho en Mexico: Mexican Folk Art based on an exhibition she created while working at the Museum of Man. Many people find Modern Calligraphy attractive to learn because it allows them to create beautiful, fun, and hand-crafted letters that are unique and personal.
