  • Studio ACE to Host Holiday Art Shop On Saturday, December 3, Studio ACE will open its Holiday Art Shop from 12:00-7:00pm, offering 10% off for all items in the shop for this day only. Most Art Shop artists have brought in new holiday goodies including cards, ornaments, artwork, clothing, and yummy holiday treats, along with their regular collection of wonderful artistic offerings. Studio ACE will offer Melting Snowman, Hanukkah, and Wooden Ornament Holiday Art Kits for purchase, with all supplies included. Also during the Holiday Art Shop kick-off on December 3, Ace instructor and artist Theresa Fullmer will host a Free Community Holiday “Make ‘n Take” from 2:00-4:00 pm. Join us and create snow people while enjoying Winter Wonderland Treats & Holiday Festivities with your community! This is a drop-in event so come anytime up until 3:30pm! As an extra bonus, everyone who comes by the Holiday Art Shop in December will receive a ticket for a chance to win a gift basket filled with art supplies for young artists!   • The Elizabeth Hospice invites individuals interested in helping adults and children facing the challenges associated with a life-limiting illness and those grieving the death of a loved one to a free volunteer orientation session conducted via Zoom video conferencing. Hospice volunteers are an important part of the care team at The Elizabeth Hospice and have an opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life. Attendees will learn about a wide variety of virtual and in-person opportunities throughout San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County, including serving as a patient companion, providing caregiver respite, performing aromatherapy, sewing Cuddle Bears, officiating at veteran pinning ceremonies, and much more. Information will be provided on both the application and training process. An email address and a device with a camera interface are needed to participate in the training session or attendees can join by phone.   • Get ready to eat, drink and be merry! The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the return of the San Marcos Holiday Market at North City for a third consecutive year where guests can partake in the festive winter holiday spirit. The beloved open-air market returns to North City on Sunday, December 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature over 100 local artisans and crafters. Guests will enjoy cheerful live music while shopping for unique holiday gifts, decorations, pre-packaged food, and treats, and indulge in a variety of delicious seasonal food and beverages. This event is for everyone to enjoy, even Santa Claus will be paying a special visit. The water-based media exhibition runs November 3 to 27, 2022 at our Gallery in The ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station.
