In this workshop, we will guide you step-by-step through the hand knitting process to create a super cozy, one-of-a-kind blanket. Make one for you or one as a gift! The blanket requires no needles or knitting experience! The registration fee is $89.00 and includes all materials and instruction. Our standard blankets consist of 5 skeins of chunky chenille yarn to make an (approximately) 40" x 50" blanket. The finished size may vary depending on your individual hand-knitting process. Janet Perkin’s abstract mixed media artwork is exciting and eclectic, with vibrant color and strong messages. Pierre Bonnard, Henri Matisse, Andre Derain and Gustav Klimt are artists who have influenced Janet’s style. Tasteful flouting of color and form is an important feature of Janet’s work. Using acrylic paint and collage, Janet weaves a story to connect with the viewer. She is an award-winning artist recognized by the National Collage Society and her artworks were featured in its annual calendar for three consecutive years. Many poets have been inspired by Janet’s art. Her paintings are included in The Merging of Art and Poetry books published over the last 14 years by the Escondido Arts Partnership. Janet’s work is exhibited in galleries, corporate offices and homes throughout the United States and in Europe.
