Alexander is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association, Society of Professional Journalists and the San Diego Press Club. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a master’s in journalism innovation from Syracuse University.

The blaze erupted for unknown reasons at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday off the 15000 block of El Monte Road in Lakeside, next to Brenna Drake's ranch. -

The blaze, officially named the Ariane Fire, scorched at least 5 acres and is 50% contained, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. The forward rate of progress has been stopped. -
