A high wind warning has been issued for the San Diego County mountains Wednesday by the National Weather Service.

The Point in Time Count provides a one-day snapshot of the minimum number of San Diegans living in emergency shelters, transitional housing, safe havens and on streets and along riverbeds.

Beginning April 30, the low-cost carrier will offer flights to Cincinnati, Ohio; Jacksonville, Florida; Norfolk, Virginia; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The California State University announced Tuesday that it will give all instructional faculty, librarians, counselors and coaches a salary increase of 5%.

The announcement comes after a judge struck down San Diego's COVID-19 vaccine mandate, saying only the state can make that a requirement.

Earlier this month, supervisors unanimously voted to oppose any further placements of sexually violent predators until local jurisdictions are able to fully participate in the placement process, including having full veto authority.
