Through interviews with North Korean refugees, long-time aid workers, scholars, and experts, the film provides both a historical overview of the country and an authentic, on-the-ground perspective of the lives, struggles, and humanity of the people of North Korea. The film also underscores how everyday human moments – such as a simple game between visitors and locals – can contribute to greater understanding and inspire change.
