High temperatures Friday could reach 90 degrees near the coast and inland, 96 in the western valleys, 94 in the mountains and 112 in the deserts. -
The NWS issued a flash flood watch that will be in effect from noon through Thursday evening in the mountains. -
The National Weather Service issued the warning around 1:50 p.m. for Alpine, Mount Laguna, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, Lake Morena, Potrero, Lake Cuyamaca and Pine Valley.

The storm’s top sustained winds decreased slightly to 165 mph (270 kph) as its westward movement slowed, crawling along Grand Bahama island Monday morning at 1 mph (2 kph) in what forecasters said would be a daylong assault. -
San Diego County coastal areas will experience more comfortable temperatures Friday, with highs of 72 to 77 degrees, and patchy fog this morning. -
High pressure will continue to build over the southwest Thursday, then center itself over the Four Corners region this weekend and usher in monsoonal moisture through Wednesday, forecasters said.
