KPBS will rebroadcast the first season of LAST TANGO IN HALIFAX on June 15 & 22 leading up to the premiere of season two on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 8 p.m. Watch a preview below!

Enjoy an uplifting comedy-drama about romance and second chances. Childhood sweethearts Alan (Derek Jacobi) and Celia (Anne Reid), both widowed and in their 70s, fall for each other all over again when they are reunited after nearly 60 years. The celebratory tale of the power of love at any age is also a story about family — a family with baggage. Alan and Celia’s daughters, whose dysfunctional lives bring drama at every turn, would never dream of getting in the way of their parents’ happiness. But somehow they just can’t help themselves.

Devastated with the implications, he doesn’t know who to turn to and ends up over at the farm, hoping for Gillian’s sympathy. Celia duly apologizes to Kate and begs her not to leave Caroline. The next day Celia is shocked to learn that Alan's had a heart attack. She stays by his bedside, telling him that their wedding plans are back on now she’s made things right with Caroline. Against the odds, Alan regains consciousness.
