It's BUGS! And Friday the 13th! Please join us for two amazing talks. Hear from the experts.
At 1 p.m. "Amazing Opiliones" with Shahan Derkarabetian, Ph.D, Curator of Invertebrate Zoology,
San Diego Natural History Museum. Dr. Derkarabetian will introduce us to the amazing world of the arachnid group Opiliones (spiders, ticks, daddy longlegs etc.) We will learn about their biology and natural history with lots of photos.
At 2:30 p.m. "Ecological Effects of Argentine Ant Invasions" with Dave Holway, Ph.D., USCD
Professor Holway returns to update us on the work related to the effects of Argentine ant invasions and efforts to restore ecosystems back to a pre-invasion state.
Parking passes are required on campus so allow time. Parking is free for members, so join us! We also support the students thru the LIFE Scholarship Fund.
