"Flag Day" is a new feature-length documentary about the largest Flag Day parade in the United States and the community that has kept that tradition alive for more than seventy years. You can watch the trailer here: https://www.flagdayfilm.com

Set in the small farming community of Three Oaks, Michigan — home to the nation’s largest Flag Day parade — Flag Day is a verité portrait of ritual, identity, and belonging in an era of deep political division. Somewhere between tradition and transformation lies this village, whose annual parade has become a pageant of American aspiration and memory. Over the course of Flag Day weekend, the film immerses viewers in the lives of a diverse cross-section of townspeople.

Filmed with verité intimacy, Flag Day follows eight intertwined lives across a single town, offering a ground-level portrait of community, connection, ritual and identity.

I'm excited to share that the film will be at UltraStar Mission Valley Cinema on June 14th at 1 p.m.!
