Meet real-life heroes, explore emergency vehicles, learn life-saving skills, and meet superheroes—all for FREE!

Family Safety Day: Hanging with Heroes is a FREE, family-friendly event with one powerful mission: to help keep San Diego families safe, while having an unforgettable time. Meet the real-life heroes who serve and protect our community every day, from first responders to federal agents, plus surprise appearances from big-screen superheroes and beloved kids’ characters like Spider-Man, Bluey, Stitch, and more!

This day is packed with essential safety resources, hands-on learning, and fun for all ages. Families can explore CPR demos, cyber safety tips, fire and water safety, rattlesnake encounters from Ecovivarium’s Mobile Zoo, car seat checks by Safe Kids San Diego, and so much more. With over 75+ partners in attendance—from nonprofits to local health and wellness providers—you’ll walk away empowered with knowledge and support to help keep your family safe and thriving.
