The La Jolla Historical Society invites the community to a free public open house to celebrate an important milestone for the 62-year-old organization, dedicated to the people, places and stories that have shaped La Jolla. Attendees will be among the first to learn the details of a special announcement, which is being kept under wraps until the event.

The La Jolla Historical Society is dedicated to the discovery, collection and preservation of La Jolla's heritage. Through their collections, programs and advocacy, they carry out their mission by: -Discovering, recording and sharing La Jolla's history. -Preserving La Jolla's historical objects, sites and structures. -Increasing community awareness of the value of our heritage. The La Jolla Historical Society collects materials in a wide range of formats and media, including books, newspapers, magazines, maps, printed ephemera, manuscripts, scrapbooks and architectural drawings. The La Jolla Historical Society is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
